We want to support Queer and BIPOC artists by sharing their new short films with the public.
We want to encourage bold, fierce, inspiring, original films, experimental and creative work, out of the box thinking, and works that dismantle old narratives.

Submission Guidelines:
• Films include shorts, narrative (any genre) or documentaries.
• From one minute to 15 minutes maximum length.
• Films that are submitted must be owned or have permission from the owner.
• Subtitles or transcriptions are required.
• Submitters authorize Yale Summer Cabaret to use and share film posters, trailers, synopsis and film stills in our social media. All entries will be promoted through our social media and website with a featured page with synopsis, film stills and trailer.
• Submitter must send film stills, production pictures, downloadable poster, and trailer or teaser.
• Submitters must accept these terms.
• Not all submissions will be selected.
• Three main films will have a physical screening at the closing event of the Yale Summer Cabaret term in late August, additionally to the stream in our festival.
• One main selected film would be commissioned with $150.00.
• If selected films are looking for additional funding for the project they can share the information to fundraise it with our audience after the screening.
• All tickets for the live screening will be complimentary for filmmakers.
